Liver - portal area (100x objective lens)


This image from the liver of a pig shows a septum (Se) containing a bile duct (BD), seen in longitudinal section. The bile duct is lined by a simple cuboidal epithelium. On either side of the septum are rows (cords) of hepatocytes (He) separated by hepatic sinusoids.
Stain = AZAN
