This higher magnification image of the renal papilla shows: (1) tangential sections through four papillary ducts (ducts of Bellini), lined by tall simple columnar epithelium; (2) the connective tissue stroma containing thin segments of Henle's loops and numerous blood vessels; and (3) the surface of the papilla, covered by a stratified cuboidal epithelium.
