Liver (10x objective lens)


This image from the liver of a pig showing parts of four adjacent lobules, separated by septa (Se) of connective tissue, the collagen of which is stained blue with aniline blue. At the center of the lobule in the center of the image is the central vein (CV) into which blood flows from the hepatic sinusoids (Si). An hepatic artery (HA), which supplies blood to the sinusoids, is seen in one of the septa.
Stain = AZAN
